Recently, the paper titled "Examining the effects of blockchain technology on sales models: A study from the dual perspectives of economy and environment" by Professor Liu Mingwu’s team from the Economics and Management School was accepted for online publication in the international SCI/SSCI journal, International Journal of Production Economics. It is a leading journal in the field of production and operations management, classified as ABS 3-star, JCR Q1, and a top journal in the first quartile of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) classifications, with an impact factor of 10.3.
Amid the booming E-commerce era, this paper employs four models to investigate the dynamics between a low-carbon manufacturer (LCM) and an E-platform (EP) with blockchain technology (BT), comprehensively explores the joint impact of the platform’s adoption of BT on the sales mode and carbon reduction decisions of supply chain members from an environmental perspective through theoretical models and numerical studies. And find there is a beneficial range exists in the relationship between the LCM and the EP. Furthermore, as the sensitivity coefficient of consumers to negative online reviews decreases, the win-win interval increases when BT is employed, compared to scenarios without BT.
